Artist Talk: Jackie Fischer - Berkshire Artist Residency 2021, Chesterwood

Join Jackie in conversation about her four month Berkshire Artist Residency working in the Morris Center Studio at Chesterwood on Saturday, October 9th at 3pm.

Also at the Visitors Center will be an exhibition of Jackie’s work while in residence, “A Twist of Onsite Moments,” which will show the results of an exploration into cast iron, sculpting, and rug tufting. The exhibition will be on view from October 7 – 11 during Chesterwood’s regular open hours, Thursday – Monday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The exhibition and conversation with the artist are free, however admission tickets are required to tour the permanent collections, the historic studio and grounds. ABOUT JACKIE FISCHER

Jacqueline Fischer (Jackie) is a Mixed Media Sculptor who grew up in the suburbs of Eastern Long Island where her struggles sparked inspiration. She received her BFA from Alfred University with a Minor in Psychology. Jackie has received multiple scholarships to various craft schools such as Anderson Ranch, Haystack, Watershed and has exhibited work Nationally. Jackie’s upcoming class, Ceramic Sculpture 101 begins October 20.
