The Brothership Building North Gallery Window curated by Berkshire Art Center (formerly IS183 Art School) will feature “HEARTS and HANDS: A Celebration of Global Community!” by faculty artist, Kim Waterman, and Carly Gaherty’s Adult Learning Center students for the month of February.

Opening Reception:

Join the artists for a festive opening on Thursday, February 8th, from 5-6pm in the lobby of the Brothership Building (141 North Street, Pittsfield).

About the Show:

This month's window features the work of students from the William Stickney Pittsfield Adult Learning Center. Carly Gaherty and BAC faculty artist, Kim Waterman, collaborated with students in creating HEARTS and HANDS. Each paper mache heart represents a student's home country flag, as well as an image of something that is near and dear to their own heart. Their iconic hand designs form a symbolic representation of unity and community.
