Developing the Oil and Acrylic Painting

Join a friendly, supportive studio environment to paint from still life set-ups and photographs. We will explore ways to begin a painting with a number of different approaches, such as making a charcoal value sketch on paper first, underpainting monochromatic values on canvas, or using different limited color palettes. Color mixing will be emphasized. Strengthened with these tools, you will be able to unleash your vision as you try something new or push your work further. Everyone will receive individual attention, and relevant references to art history and contemporary art will be made.
